Simple Electronic Signatures (SES) refer to any kind of electronic data — such as a typed name, an image of a signature, or ticking a checkbox — used to express intent to sign.
While SES can be legally valid in some cases, they do not include:
- verified identity of the signer,
- technical protection against document tampering,
- or a secure audit trail.
swipesign focuses exclusively on Advanced (AES) and Qualified (QES) electronic signatures, because they meet higher security and legal standards — especially for professional, cross-border, or regulated use cases.
By requiring stronger authentication and digital integrity, we ensure that documents signed via swipesign:
- are verifiable,
- comply with international regulations,
- and can hold up in court if needed.
Our goal is to protect both parties in every agreement — and SES simply doesn’t offer the level of trust our users expect.
